What is Valmera?
Valmera at valmera.io is an agentic AI video editor operated by DIYAR TAREQ TRADING L.L.C. It edits your videos from natural-language requests — you describe the change in plain English and an AI agent analyzes the footage, makes the cuts, and renders the result. This software product is unrelated to the prescription medicine sold under the same name and to Valmiera, Latvia.
How does AI video editing work in Valmera?
Upload footage and type a request like “cut the silences and add captions.” Valmera indexes the recording with a word-timed transcript, shots and silences, then edits it and renders a preview. Review the cuts, correct any transcription mistakes and refine the result through chat. When it is ready, create the final MP4 in Studio; it renders from the original upload.
Do I need video editing experience?
No. You describe the change in plain English. A visual timeline and an editable transcript are there when you want hands-on control, but you never have to learn them.
What edits can Valmera make?
Cuts and trims, silence and filler-word removal, repeated-take cleanup, editable captions with karaoke and animated styles, music ducking, uploaded voiceover recordings, reframing, color grades, zooms, transitions and region blurring. Add your own music or ask the agent to find a track on the web. Clip creation can seed multiple child projects; each needs its own edit, review and final export in Studio.
How do I check the AI's edits?
Review the rendered preview and timeline before exporting. Valmera uses edit records and verification checks to help ground its replies, but an AI response is not a guarantee that every requested change is correct. Check cuts, caption spelling and timing, framing and audio; request a correction when needed. Earlier edit versions remain available, and the original upload is preserved.
Is Valmera free to use?
Creating an account and uploading footage are free, but agent editing requires a subscription. Creator is $15/month for 1,000 credits, Pro is $30/month for 2,000, and Frontier is $50/month for 5,000. New checkouts charge immediately and have no trial. The standard Valmera paid-plan policy omits overlay watermarks, but service settings can override it. Inspect the actual final file for branding and any end card.
What files can I upload?
The main video upload supports MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM and MKV, subject to both the 14 GB size limit and the 3-hour duration limit. You can also attach extra clips, images and your own audio. File contents still need to be decodable; changing a filename extension does not convert a video.
Can my AI assistant use Valmera?
Yes. Connect a compatible MCP client, such as Claude, to Valmera's hosted Model Context Protocol server using OAuth. Your connected assistant can inspect the footage, call editing tools and render previews. Review the result and create the final MP4 in Valmera Studio; final-export creation is not exposed through MCP. Editing requires a paid plan.
Can I export subtitle files or publish directly to social media?
Studio burns captions into the exported video and does not import or export SRT/VTT subtitle files. Download each final MP4 in Studio and upload it to your chosen platform yourself. The separate free subtitle timing tool retimes existing SRT/VTT files in your browser; it does not generate captions from a video or connect those files to Studio.

Valmera is an agentic AI video editor. You upload footage you already shot — up to 14 GB and 3 hours, as MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV or WebM — and describe the edit you want in plain English. The agent changes the edit and renders a preview. Review it, refine it through chat and create the final MP4 in Studio, rendered from your original file.
Agentic means the assistant can inspect footage and apply edits through tools. Valmera indexes the upload into a transcript with word timings, detected silences, shot boundaries and visual evidence. That gives a request such as "cut the part where I fumble the pricing line" a reference in the recording. The agent can inspect rendered frames and revise its work. You still review the preview, especially when speech is unclear, names are unusual or a crop could lose context.
What it edits
Cuts and dead air, filler words, repeated takes. Editable, word-timed captions, including karaoke styles. Reframing to 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. Zooms aimed at a point in the frame, punch-ins on the words you stressed hardest, speed changes that keep voices at natural pitch. Music found on the web or your own file, ducked under speech automatically and mastered to the streaming loudness target. Colour grading, film grain, transitions, on-screen text and lower thirds. Blur a selected region or request pixel repainting; inspect the result for missed areas or visual artifacts. Turn screen recordings into product demos. And because the agent works on an edit decision list rather than on pixels, your original upload is never modified and anything cut can be restored by asking.
What it is not
Valmera's core workflow edits existing footage; it does not generate a whole finished video from a text prompt alone. Optional generation tools depend on the services enabled for the editor. Studio does not import or export SRT or VTT files — captions are burned into the picture — and it has no team seats, no direct publishing to YouTube or TikTok, no custom font uploads, and no true crossfade. English is the best-tested transcription path. Those limits help you decide whether it fits the project before subscribing.
Your AI assistant can drive it
Valmera publishes an editing and review catalog — 100+ live tools — as a Model Context Protocol server, so Claude can perform and review the edit from inside a conversation. The MCP catalog is generated from Valmera's live registry rather than maintained as a second copy. Connect through OAuth, edit and review through your assistant, then open Studio to create the final MP4. If you would rather stay in the studio, the studio has a real timeline, a player, an editable transcript and aspect-ratio controls waiting for you.
